Claude Cowork made you slower (here's why)

Hey Reader,

Everyone told you Claude Cowork would make your business 10x more productive.

Instead you feel like you have more work than ever.

That's not your fault, and I made the same mistake for months.

Here's what's actually going wrong.

Your AI chats are a broken.

You probably have one chat for marketing, one for content, one for random questions.

None of them talk to each other.

That's like running a business where marketing and sales never meet, and nobody remembers what was decided last week.

No employee could perform in that company. Neither can Claude.

The handbook nobody gave it.

Think about your best hire. They weren't great on day one.

They got great because someone handed them context: who you are, who your customers are, how you like things done.

Claude never got that handbook from you.

So every chat starts from zero, sounds like a robot, and produces generic work you have to redo.

The fix is not better prompts. It's giving Claude the same onboarding you'd give an employee.

Once I did that, Claude stopped answering questions and started finishing work.

I recorded the exact 5-step setup I use, built for owners with zero technical background:

Hey Reader, I ignored the best version of Claude for 6 months. And I'm the guy with 25+ years of engineering experience. If I got this wrong, the odds you're using the right one are not great. Here's the mistake, and why fixing it gave me back 10 hours a week. The room without a phone. Most business owners use Claude in the browser, like ChatGPT with better vibes. It answers questions well, and it would be easy to think that that's all you need. But that's like hiring a brilliant PA and...

Hey Reader, I owe you an apology. For months I told you Claude Cowork was useless. Because I'm an engineer, so I just stuck to Claude Code instead. But I was wrong. What changed my mind. Last month my team and I gave it a real shot. Turns out... while we've been ignoring it, a lot has happened and it's really good. We now built and share custom dashboards right inside Cowork that used to take weeks to build. One team member said: "My beautiful Ops Command Center is the closest I've ever...

Hey Reader, People keep telling me their AI "breaks everything" and "makes weird decisions." I use the same models. Same tools. Same subscriptions. But I almost never have these problems. For the longest time, I thought I was just lucky. Then I looked at what I actually do differently. It comes down to three things. 1. A minimal AGENT․md file. Think of this like a one-page employee handbook for your AI. Mine is short. Genuinely minimal. It tells the AI to: Keep docs updated as it makes...
